Above is a portrait of B S Huntbach painted by his eldest daughter Paula, who developed his artistic talent. This was a favourite jumper of the artist, and his genial smile will be familiar to all those who knew him. In the photograph Barrie can be seen washing up in the butler sink of the small kitchen of the family home (it was a regular task for him). Note on the wall above one of his paintings, as well as palm crosses from an Easter service at St Mary's convent. Among the kitchen paraphernalia you can see tea cups and a teapot, as well as a tea dispenser on the wall. Tea was hugely popular in this household as the image of the tea pot crops up in many of Barrie's paintings.
